Industrial
Machinery

We support the industrial sector with our experience and different services to access the market.

The industrial sector now has the world as its reference market. Companies must adapt their processes, products, production and equipment to the standards of the target markets.

The goal must be to improve safety and reliability, costs and time to market, in compliance with local and international standards to minimize business risks. This is why we provide quality services, testing, inspection and certification, as well as training and consulting services, assistance in the design and development of products and processes.

Inlab’s global expertise gives its customers the peace of mind to offer compliant and competitive products to the markets.

Machinery Directive

We accompany manufacturers in verifying the conformity of the machine for CE Marking by supporting them in the drafting of the Technical File, User and Maintenance Manuals and the Risk Analysis.

Machines and Equipment Safety

Employers, as indicated by the Consolidated Act on Safety and Health at Work, D.Lgs 81/2008, must make safe and compliant machines and equipment available to workers .

We work alongside Safety Managers in the company to evaluate these aspects, especially when companies make self-made or modified equipment and machinery available to their employees and collaborators. In these cases, it is essential to re-evaluate compliance and safety to avoid workplace accidents.

ENERGY QUALITY

In industrial plants, the presence of highly inductive or capacitive loads, such as motors or large transformers, can lead to malfunctions or stops of the equipment connected to the same electrical system, because these loads introduce disturbances on the AC Mains network.

The disturbances that cause these problems can be: high harmonic distortion, voltage dips, voltage fluctuations or flickers.

In these cases, our technicians intervene and, after a study phase of the plant and an adequate campaign of measures, they determine the causes internal or external to the machinery and suggest appropriate solutions.

Electrical safety tests and verifications for electrical equipment of machines

We carry out tests and verifications relating to the electrical and electronic equipment of the machines directly on site. The reference standards for this sector are:

  • EN 60204-1 (Safety of Machinery – Electrical equipment of machines)

  • EN 60204-32 (Electrical and electronic equipment and systems to hoisting machines)

  • EN 61439-1:2011 + EN61439-2:2011 (Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies)

EMC – Electromagnetic compatibility

Machines containing electrical/electronic components must not generate electromagnetic disturbances exceeding levels appropriate for the intended operating environment. In addition, the electrical equipment must have an adequate level of immunity to electromagnetic disturbances so that it can operate in the intended environment.

We are equipped to carry out, both on-site and in the laboratory, immunity and emission tests to assess the conformity of industrial machines and plants according to product standards in any, otherwise applying generic standards:

  • EN 61000-6-1 (Generic standards – Immunity standard for residential, commercial and light-industrial environments)

  • EN 61000-6-2 (Electrical and electronic apparatus intended for use in industrial environments: immunity standards)

  • EN 61000-6-3 (Generic standards – Emission standard for residential, commercial and light-industrial environments)

  • EN 61000-6-4 (Electrical and electronic apparatus intended for use in industrial environments: emission standards)
